DogStock Festival, Cyprus For the third consecutive year, Paradise Place in Pomos, Cyprus, has played host to the Dogstock Festival, an independent music and art festival which, organised with a minimum of advertising and budget by amateur musicians and music lovers, continues to create an impressive buzz locally. Dogstock’s aim is to showcase local musical talent and inspire with underground talent from abroad. This year acts hailed from Greece, New York, London, Switzerland as well as Cyprus and spanned a spectrum of musical genre that made the geographical distances seem short! Unifying the sound reproduction on the non-acoustic stage, Riccos Sound and Light supplied a KV2 Audio system comprised of one KV2 ES 1.0 with two KV2 ES 1.8 sub woofers per side, all driven by the KV2 EPAK-R processor amplifier. Further vocal reinforcement was provided via two KV2 Audio EX12s. Riccos’ Pambos Christodoulou explained his choice, “The KV2 speakers give a good quality of sound with great power, so there is no need for a lot of boxes.” The quality of festival sound is paramount and organiser, Lefteris Moumtzis, was aware of the positive effect it had, “What impressed us most about the KV2 Audio system was how much sound was coming out from such small speakers. It was great! And the cool thing was, though the music was loud, it was not uncomfortable for the listener at all.”
